Good Practice – Op Makesafe – Leonardo Hotel, Watford

We would like to recognise and thank a local hotel, Leonardo Hotel, Watford for their excellent response and cooperation in relation to Op Makesafe. Two young girls who were identified as high risk of Child Sexual Exploitation attended the hotel and disclosed to staff a serious sexual assault.

Their proactive engagement, professionalism, and willingness to work closely with Police demonstrates best practice in safeguarding and highlights the vital role hotels play in helping to protect vulnerable people. This positive example shows how effective communication, staff awareness, and timely information sharing can make a real difference. Thank you to all accommodation providers who continue to support Op Makesafe and contribute to keeping our communities safe.
